A walking journey from Chinguetti to Terjit, supported by a camel caravan and shaped by remote bivouacs, dunes, plateaus and oasis valleys.

After reaching Chinguetti, slow to caravan pace. Camels carry luggage, bivouac equipment and provisions while you walk with the caravan team through dunes, rocky plateaus, valleys and oases.

Meet the camel team; begin the trek and camp among the dunes.

Day 4Erg Lemghaleg

Full desert crossing toward Oued Dakhlet.

Day 5Al Ateg

Zerga landscapes, panoramic climb and bivouac near El Ateg.

Day 6Lemoizine and the oueds

Rocky plateau, Irat and Erat; remote camp.

Day 7M'Haireth and Ichif

Descend to the palm oasis and continue to the evening bivouac.

Day 8Terjit and Atar

Final trek through a narrow oued, oasis lunch and 4x4 transfer to Atar.

Day 9Nouakchott

Return, fishing port and airport transfer.
