Banc d'Arguin
Banc d'Arguin forms the coastal conclusion to Iron & Atlantic, an eight-day journey that moves from the Adrar and Ben Amira through the working railway to Nouadhibou and the Atlantic.
From desert tracks to the Atlantic
The route is built around contrast. Dunes, oases and caravan cities give way to the railway, Nouadhibou, Cap Blanc and the coastal landscapes of Banc d'Arguin.
Sahara Nomads includes the coast inside a complete northbound expedition, with the return to Nouakchott closing the geographic loop.
The journey that visits Banc d'Arguin
Iron & Atlantic is the published Sahara Nomads itinerary that explicitly includes Banc d'Arguin. It is a high-energy combination of 4x4 travel, the iron ore train and coastal stages.
Wildlife and exact coastal experiences are never guaranteed. Current access, local conditions and timing are reviewed as part of the final route.
